Our History
Careers in nature industries have been part of the McCabe family for many years. Augustus “Gus” Kennedy was a lumberjack in northern Maine where he resided with his wife Fern until in they moved to the Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in the early 1920’s. Their daughter, Anne, was born in Maine but lived most of her life here on Cape Cod. Anne eventually gave birth to two sons, Robert and Damon. In 1967, Damon and Robert decided to create a tree service business. After a couple of years the brothers decided not to work together any longer......
The Birth of McCabe Tree Service
In 1969, Damon started his tree service business as Damon McCabe Tree Service and Landscape Construction. With in the past decade the name was shortened to McCabe Tree Service, but still ensures the highest tree care and quality service for its customers in West Harwich, MA and the surrounding Cape Cod areas. Sadly, Damon passed on November 27, 2020.
And the Legacy Goes On
After Damon's passing, McCabe Tree Service is now run by his son, Luke McCabe. And today with the help of few great people MTS strives to provide great service to our customers for many more years to come.
